You guys also asked for an honourable mention list last year, so here it is again! I know it drives some people nuts when agents says 'unfortunately I just didn't love this enough', but that's genuinely how it is in many cases. I don't know if it helps but I want all the people on this list to know that I wavered A LOT over the final list:
Erin Funk, Alison Miller, Mary Hallberg, Jill Haugh, Prerna Pickett, Danelle Miller, Michelle Mason, Eva Gibson.
There was also
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF: When the winners go live on the 18th, could we ask you to save your comments, if you have any, until after the agents have made their requests. After that you can go cheerleader nuts if you want to.
Thank you so much for choosing me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the honorable mention!
ReplyDeleteBoth Michelle and I were close to picking yours. I hope that's heartening rather than the opposite!
DeleteIt certainly is. I've just started querying this project, so I will have many more opportunities. It helps to know I need to tweak some more. Thanks again!
DeleteA couple of Query Kombat contestants! Yay!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for choosing my entry, Ruth! This is the first time I've entered a writing contest, so it's very exciting. Looking forward to reading all of the entries!
ReplyDeleteSO excited to be a part of this list! Thank you so much for the opportunity, Ruth, and congrats to the other contestants!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners! Can't wait to read your entries when they go live. Well done, Ruth and Michelle. Would love to be privy to some of those 'mature' discussions. Hehe.
ReplyDeleteWe conducted ourselves with dignity and grace. Probably.
DeleteThanks, Ruth!
ReplyDeleteThis was such a nice surprise! Finally got into one of these! Thanks for your work to set this up. Looking forward to seeing the reactions to everyone's queries!! : - )
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I love your pages!!
DeleteThank you so much for choosing my entry. After getting so close last year - with an honorable mention on a different manuscript, this feels so much better!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to have you on board this year!
DeleteOoh, my friend Amanda made the list! Congrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteI'll try again next year with my w.i.p., which is a little older and edgier than what I submitted. At the rate I'm going, a year from now will be just about right. : )
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners!
