If you're stumbling around wondering what's going on because you googled 'Fondant Fancies' and ended up here, then I'm sorry, but this isn't for you. Also, are you just one person who really likes Fondant Fancies and has short-term memory loss, or are there lots of you? The stats page of my blog tells me you're out there, Fondant Fancy googler, but who are you? I must know!

Yay! Incredible list of agents and atleast 4 were on my query list....Muhahaha...Beware my entry.
ReplyDeleteOh and you guys are beyond awesome, Ruth and Michelle.
P.S. - I'll swap your names and use the same comment on Michelle's blog. :D
Impressive line up! You ladies have connections (and I agree with Utsav-- you are awesome, as well) :)
ReplyDeleteI also just googled "Fondant fancies"... and I'm craving them now. (*crosses fingers and prays that I'll be able to find them in our British import store or in the supermarket in Portugal*)
They are delightful. Especially the lemon ones!
DeleteThat's the fondant fancies of course, although the agents are delightful and possibly lemony too.
DeleteOooohhh.. I love lemon. Hmm, must keep searching!
DeleteGetting goose bumps jusr thinking about how awesome this all is! Eek, Eek and Eek - totally freaked now...can't wait for the submission window to open. Have to go now to raid my cupboard for fondant fancies - I'm a pink fondant fancy lover myself - but the lemon are almost as delicious but not quite!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I can't believe I just stumbled over this. Hooray! This sounds spectacularly exciting. Thanks for hosting, you guys! What a fabulous contest!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! (I now suspect you of being the Fondant Fancy Googler. Hhhmmmm.)
DeleteI'LL NEVER REVEAL THE TRUTH. Not even if you tempt me with fondant fancies...not even the pink ones...
Delete*whimpers* I'm just not QUITE ready to submit! It looks like such an excellent contest. But I will be strong. Waiting until my manuscript shines is the smart decision. It will be better in the long run. It will, it will, it will. Alas...
ReplyDelete*applauds Susan's self-restraint*
DeleteIs this a YA oriented contest? Are other genres welcome for entry? Are novels without a specific genre-home (literary) welcome? Thanks for the information. Mark
ReplyDeleteNo. Yes. Yes.
DeleteYou can find all the details you need in the last three blog posts. And if you click on the links in the post above, you can find out all about the agents involved and see what they rep.
And now I'm even more excited than I was before :D Thank you for setting this up!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great line-up! I was just wondering about Becky Vinter... I couldn't find her on Fine Print anywhere. Was there a typo with the name or agency maybe? Just trying to educate myself on each of the agents:)
ReplyDeleteOver on Query Tracker, we had requests for some newer agents in with the line-up (I did some research over there), and Becky is new at Fine Print.
DeleteHere's a great interview: http://jetreidliterary.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/meet-agent-becky-vinter.html
:)
I'm so excited! But I'm going to be on vacation the 9th. I will find INTERNET access no matter what! :) Thanks again for this!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. what are fondant fancies? I feel like I should know this haah. Altho I love fondant.
DeleteThey are necessary cakes. If you live in a country where you can't get them, you have my pity.
DeleteHah I shall have to find out. I'm in the US they have to be here somewhere...

ReplyDeleteMy hand literally went over my mouth when I read some of those names... this is AMAZING. Now I'm freaking out anndd nervous about the contest! Thanks so much for this!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive. I am so jealous. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited! Somehow, I'm actually ready for one of these contests. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat list of agents, by the by. One is on my list of dream agents, so I'll probably be crossing my fingers until this show is all over.
Do we query each agent ie tailor each submission for that particular agent? Or is the 500 words plus query letter meant to be generic?
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to personalise it. Just send the basic query letter that you'd send to all agents. Information on formatting will go up on the 9th when we open the submission window : )
DeleteThanks Ruth. Some interesting agents here.
DeleteNice list of agents!! Question, when exactly are you putting up the submission requirements? I'm out of internet range on the 9th and would like to set my email to auto send.
ReplyDeleteI hear that Michelle has sorted you out via email with this. Good luck :)
DeleteWhat a fabulous line up! Thank you for all your hard work on this!
ReplyDeleteThis list of agents are amazing. I'm surely excited. Who knows? This may be the contest that smiles on me:)
ReplyDeleteHi! I saw this on Twitter. What fun - my birthday is next week, too, so it'll be an all-around awesome week.
ReplyDeleteIt's my birthday too. Here's to a great week!
DeleteWow. I'm so excited!!
ReplyDeleteHi. Christmas in July sounds great. I'd love to submit something but my book isn't ready yet. Will you be repeating it in the future? Pretty please.
ReplyDeleteWe're hoping to do similar things in the future, yes :)
DeleteOh, wonderful wonderfulness!
DeleteHi Ruth! Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteWow what an op! Thanks for sharing and hosting! :)
You're welcome :)
DeleteI was looking for Fifty Shades of Grey fondant ideas, but this is great too. Getting ready for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteEverso slightly gutted that I came upon this too late but hey! best of luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteNow, where did I put the yellow one, or has some bugger eaten it...?
I'm sure we'll do it again in the future!
