Book Blogger Hop

How is it making me feel that I'm posting on a Sunday and not a Tuesday, you ask? I haven't even thought about it, I say. Because if I had it might reveal a bit of crazy. Good job I'm the well-adjusted sort and, like I said, have not even thought about it.

Reason for post? I saw this on Joe's blog http://www.jdfield.blogspot.com/ and shamelessly stole it :D because it's a cool idea. Click on the logo and it takes you to a magical place where you can connect with other book bloggers.

This week's question is 'How many books are currently on your to-be-read (TBR) pile?'

My answer? A modest and tidy eleven. I was a voracious reader when I was a kid, but now I have to split my time between my own children, work, writing and real life activities, I've slowed in my reading to an embarassing pace.

Here's some of what's coming up for me:

Can't wait!

  1. Thanks for stopping by! I'm jealous of anyone that has so few TBR books, mine is out of control..ugh!

  2. If I had a Kindle (and if I get my way, I will!) I think I'd be in trouble. As it is my dining room is full of books. I stop my head from exploding by having a mini-pile by the side of my bed :)

  3. Yeah! Casper! (jumping up and down for the jeans and white shirt!) lol I don't fully understand the entire concept, even after reading the book. I think it is that some people are capable of just being happy and not needing anyone to make them happy where others have a void, either from not being loved as a child, or a traumatic event and it leaves them with the need to have a person or sex or shopping (many things) to fill that void. They are empty inside and don't know how to fill it. I think I have some of that in me. That was scary admitting it. Making those around me happy makes me happy and it is a need I have. I think there's a lot of black and white. I hope others read the book so I can get their take on it. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Let me say that I read The Time Traveler's Wife, and it was very good. At some points it was confusing (with the time traveling), but after I read it, I loved it. One of my favorites. Hope you enjoy it, too.
